Fines will continue to be waived on all items, until further notice. If your library card privileges have expired, please email us at pspl@vianet.ca and we will extend your privileges. Our drop box is open to return items at the McMurray Street entrance.

Please note that all historical documents, including newspaper clippings and obituaries, have been donated to the Museum on Tower Hill. Please call (705)746-5365 or email info@museumontowerhill.com with your inquiry.

The Ontario Ministry states, library services have been provided an exception to offer specific services and may be open for contactless curbside pick-up.  We ensure that circulating materials returned to the library are quarantined for a period of 72 hours before they are recirculated, and we ensure that contact information is recorded. 

Library membership privileges for township/municipal agreements (Archipelago, Carling and McDougall) have expired on Dec. 31, 2020 - if you would like your membership renewed contact us at 705-746-9601 or pspl@vianet.ca.

Library staff will contact you to schedule a pick up time.

Ontario Parks Day-Use Permit

You can now borrow a Day-Use Vehicle Permit to Ontario parks from your library.  The passes will provide day use for one vehicle and its occupants, allowing access to over 100 provincial parks.  This program is part of the Healthy Parks Healthy People initiative. Available from January 1 to December 31, 2021. Loan period of 1 week. Overdue fines $5/day. Reserve your pass at Parry Sound Public Library online or by phone.

Use Mango Languages to learn a new language at home - all you need to sign up is your library card!


 Although we quarantine all returned items for 72 hours and strive to sanitize and practice safe handling of materials, the Parry Sound Public Library cannot guarantee the sanitization of library items.
