Intro to Yoga

Wednesdays @ 1:30 to 2:15 PM

Introduction to yoga with certified Yoga Instructor Ellen Koennecke, of Yoga in the Sound. Located in the library Auditorium. (not wheelchair accessible)

Program is on a drop-in basis at $5 per session, no registration required.  Masks are optional.

PSPL Adult Literacy Program

Are you new to Canada and would like help learning English?  Sign up for PSPL Adult Literacy Program and be paired with a tutor.  Tutoring takes place in the library on a time and date that works for both tutor and student.  Resources are provided.

Knitting Club at PSPL

Every other Friday - September 23rd to December 2, 2022 at 11 am

Come to Parry Sound Public Library for a social knitting club!  Meet, mingle, and share tips and techniques with other local knitters.  Bring your own project and supplies.  Coffee and tea will be provided.

Cultural Awareness

Tuesday, September 27th at 5:30 to 8 PM

When in Rome, do as the Romans do.  We’ve all heard that expression but how realistic is it to expect newcomers to Canada to change their culture overnight? 

Join us as we explore Cultural Awareness in our community.  Get a little taste of what our new Canadians are going through and learn how you can help them adjust.

Deborah G. Dunleavy, Author, Storyteller, Playwright, Librettist, Lyricist

Join us for a free author presentation and reading with Deborah G. Dunleavy, author of Unsayable Absence, an enduring historical novel of love and loss during the early years of the twentieth century.


Readers who enjoy early Canadian history and the ever-changing roles of women in Canada will marvel at the adventures and challenges facing Una McFadden.  Unsayable Absence is based on the life of Deborah’s grandmother, who worked in the munitions factory in Nobel, ON during the First World War.

Join us for a casual weekly morning walk, every
