Ontario Parks Day Pass
You can now borrow a Day-time Use Vehicle Permit to Ontario parks from your library, between June 7th and September 2nd, 2021. The passes will provide day time use for one vehicle and its occupants, allowing access to over 100 provincial parks (does not include overnight). This program is part of the Healthy Parks Healthy People initiative.
For the Parks listed below, library patrons who have borrowed a Day-time Use Vehicle Permit will also be required to obtain an Advance Daily Vehicle Permit from the park.
Obtaining an Advance Daily Vehicle Permit for the listed parks will allow people to plan ahead, which means more time on the beach or trails and less time in long lines, and guarantee they have a parking spot upon arrival. The parks that require an Advance Daily Vehicle Permit are:
· Algonquin, Arrowhead, Batchawana Bay, Craigleith, Darlington, Forks of the Credit, Kakabeka Falls, Kettle Lakes, Lake Superior, Long Point, Mono Cliffs, North Beach, Pinery, Presqu’ile, Sandbanks Sibbald Point, and Turkey Point.
